VIRUSES

These are two of the many different types of viruses. The one on the left is known as a bacteriophage, and infects bacteria. The virus on the left is Influenza(the flu)

Bacteriophages have a complex structure to infect bacteria. Since Bacteriophages and bacteria have been battling for billions of years, the bacteriophage has evolved a much more complex structure.

Notice the spikey structure on influenza. These are glycoproteins to attach and infect your cells.

Influenza(the flu) is a common disease. It's infection rate spikes in the early months of the year. This specific type of virus reproduces using the lyctic cycle.

The lyctic cycle involves the virsus comadeering the host cell. Reproducing hundreds of thousands of viruses in one cell. The bursting out of the host cell. This cause of many symptoms in your sicknesses.

This is the Ebola Virus. It  is a very deadly virus causing thousands of deaths in west Afica. Fourtately

when the virus came to the U.S. we were prepared and there was not a breakout.
